Junior Accountant

As a Junior Accountant, you will bring strong attention to detail and a foundational understanding of financial processes to support our daily accounting operations. In this role, you will assist with bookkeeping, invoice processing, reconciliations, and reporting. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow within the finance team while ensuring strict compliance with financial procedures and supporting the accuracy of our financial records.

Key Responsibilities

Your core duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Invoice Management: Recording and processing incoming and outgoing invoices.

• Financial Reporting: Supporting the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Reconciliations: Assisting in bank, supplier, and account reconciliations.

• Data & Documentation: Maintaining and updating accounting records and documentation.

• Audit Support: Helping prepare necessary documentation for audits and financial reviews.

• Expense & Payroll: Tracking employee expenses and supporting payroll data entry.

• Collaboration: Cooperating effectively with internal departments as well as external accountants or auditors.

• Compliance: Ensuring all financial transactions comply with internal policies and relevant legislation.

Skills & Qualifications

Requirements & Background

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• Core Knowledge: Foundational knowledge of invoice processing, expense tracking, and bank reconciliation.

• Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with internal financial controls and audit procedures.

Technical & Professional Skills

• Accounting Principles: Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

• Software Familiarity: Experience or familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).

• Excel & Data: Proficiency in MS Excel and high data entry accuracy.

Soft Skills & Attributes

• Strong attention to detail paired with excellent organizational skills.

• Proven ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Solid communication and collaborative teamwork skills.

• High level of discretion and commitment to confidentiality regarding sensitive financial data.
