Venture CFO
Creative Dock is looking for a Venture CFO (FMCG) who will be responsible to drive portfolio and venture growth by shaping and executing the financial strategy of our portfolio ventures. Serve as a strategic partner to Venture CEOs, leadership teams, venture boards, and client functions, ensuring financial sustainability, compliance, and scalability. The role combines deep expertise in business development, corporate finance, venture economics, and operational excellence with the ability to act as a trusted advisor for investment decisions and business growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Venture Finance Leadership
Define and drive financial strategy and performance for portfolio ventures, balancing growth, profitability, and risk management.
Act as a sparring partner for Venture CEOs and the Group CFO in financial decision-making.
Secure funding and influence budget decisions with senior stakeholders by building and optimizing venture financial models.
Portfolio & Venture Performance:
Design, implement, and execute reporting structures and KPIs.
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, controlling, and performance tracking across ventures.
Establish cost control mechanisms, funding allocations, and capital efficiency measures.
Venture Development Support: Support investment rounds, M&A opportunities, and negotiations with external investors.
Team & Stakeholder Management: Lead and mentor finance professionals within ventures and across the finance community. Collaborate closely with Finance, HR, Legal, and Operations to align financial strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (MBA/CFA/ACCA is a plus).
Experience: Minimum 7 years in corporate finance, venture finance, private equity, investment banking, or a high-growth scale-up environment.

Hard Skills:
Advanced financial modelling & valuation (3-statement, DCF/VC method, comps, scenario/sensitivity).
FP&A & P&L ownership (budgeting, forecasting, variance/driver analysis across a portfolio).
KPI architecture & reporting (unit economics, cohort/LTV-CAC, board packs, portfolio dashboards).
Internal controls & finance governance.

Soft Skills & Characteristics:
Strategic mindset with the ability to balance entrepreneurial speed and financial discipline.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Confident in multi-round negotiations, able to defend positions, frame arguments clearly, and handle senior stakeholders under pressure.
Proven track record in fundraising, venture scaling, and financial governance.
Ready to pitch in a board room or in front of an investment panel.
