BI Developer

We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-impact reporting and data analytics solutions for our internal stakeholders, with a primary focus on the Finance team. Your work will be critical in transforming raw data into actionable insights, driving strategic business decisions, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.

This is a technical, hands-on role where you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between business needs (especially finance) and the underlying data infrastructure. You will leverage tools like Qlik (Sense/View) to create dynamic dashboards, establish key performance indicators (KPIs), and solve complex data challenges to support critical finance functions and wider business intelligence. What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities

Bi Development & Reporting Excellence

• Design, build, and optimize dynamic and insightful BI reports and dashboards, primarily using Qlik (e.g., Qlik Sense, Qlik View) or similar leading platforms (Tableau, Power BI), to monitor KPIs and business performance.

• Translate complex financial and operational data requirements from stakeholders into clear, functional, and visually compelling data models and reports.

• Implement robust data quality checks and validation procedures specifically for reporting outputs to ensure the highest standards of data integrity and financial accuracy.

Data Analysis & Insight Generation

• Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in financial and business data, delivering clear, actionable insights to management.

• Define and standardize key financial metrics (KPIs) and reporting structures in collaboration with the Finance team.

• Proactively explore data sources to uncover potential business value and inform the development of new reports and analytic capabilities.

Collaboration & Data Architecture Partnership

• Actively participate in an Agile development environment (Scrum/Kanban), collaborating closely with Data Engineers, business analysts, and the Finance team to define reporting requirements and ensure data model suitability.

• Maintain and document BI data models, calculations, and reporting logic clearly for team transparency and maintainability.

• Act as a data governance advocate for reporting, ensuring all solutions adhere to necessary compliance and security standards, especially concerning sensitive financial data.

Necessary Skills & Tech Stack

We are seeking a BI Developer who is proficient in a core Business Intelligence or Data Analytics capacity. 

Core BI & Data Analytics Expertise (Must-Haves):

• BI Tool Proficiency: Strong, proven proficiency with a major BI platform, such as Qlik (Sense/View), Tableau, or Power BI, for dashboard development and data modeling.

• SQL Mastery: Expert proficiency in SQL for complex querying, data manipulation, and performance tuning against modern data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery, PostgreSQL).

• Data Modeling: Proven proficiency in designing and implementing analytical data models (e.g., dimensional modeling) specifically for BI and reporting applications.

• Data Analytics: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering clear, actionable business insights.

Professional & Collaborative Skills:

• Proven ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum team environment, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder communication.

• Proficiency in partnering directly with internal teams, particularly Finance and Operations, to gather and fulfill reporting requirements.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex data analysis and technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders.

• Czech (B2/C1) and English (B2) required.

High-Value Assets (Bonus Points):

• Experience with financial reporting, accounting principles, and business controlling.

• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Experience with scripting languages like Python for data preparation or automation.
