Test Engineer - Data Analytics

Your responsibilities:

• Create Test Plans for deliverables based on assignments.

• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure testing aligns with business objectives in the context of Test Plan and data creation.

• Create, prepare, update, and execute test cases, test steps, and data needed based on a test plan, test suite changes, or deliverable assignment.

• Report and re-test found bugs in Jira or TestRail.

• Perform data reconciliation testing to ensure consistency and accuracy between source systems, data warehouses, and target outputs.

• Validate data warehouse solutions, including ETL processes, data transformations, and data loading, to ensure alignment with business requirements.

• Conduct performance testing for data pipelines, ETL workflows, and data warehouse solutions to ensure scalability and reliability.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, and results, ensuring transparency and traceability.

Technology and tooling to be familiar with:

• Data warehouse and ETL tools: required Apache Nifi and Apache Spark

• Database testing tools: required PostgreSQL/SQL, nice to have experience with S3 compatible object storage (Ceph, Minio, Azure Blob), required Python (any generic)

• Data management tools: required OpenMetadata or Marquez

• Day 2 day tooling: Jira, Confluence, MsTeams, Slack

• BI tool: Metabase (nice to have experience)
